This year's event will be limited to five categories including: IPA, Spice/Herb/Fruit, Smoked/Wood-Aged, Sours, and Stout/Porter.
Prizes: Judges will grade the beers on a point system that includes aroma, appearance, flavor, mouth feel and overall impression. Winners will be selected from each style/category, those selected will then compete for Best of Show. Best in Show: 1st Place - $300, 2nd - $200, 3rd $100; 1st-3rd place ribbons for categories. Local Beer Garden
Saturday & Sunday
Explore the Eastern Shore’s local breweries in the Local Beer Garden. Included with your admission ticket, sample batches concocted by Delmarva’s own 16 Mile, Burley Oak, Dogfish Head, Evolution Craft Brewing, Fin City, Shorebilly, Tall Tales and Third Wave. Folks from each brewery will be on hand from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily in the beer garden.
Relax with friends over a leisurely game of cornhole. Not familiar with the game? It goes by many names including corn toss, bean toss, and more. If that still doesn't ring a bell, you'll pick it up very quickly if you've ever played a game of horseshoes! You can also test your hand-eye coordination with wall hooky or giant Jenga.
Not up for being a part of the action yourself? Well swing by the Sports Zone where you can sit-back, relax and enjoy the weekend's biggest games! Stay tuned – we'll post a schedule of games as the festival nears.
Before you start to play, be sure to purchase a full pint of your favorite brew (only $4) so you don't go thirsty!
Taster's Choice Award
Let us know which brewery is your favorite! With over 50 breweries to choose from, the decision will be difficult – but we want to know which brewery you like best.
How it Works
All tasters will receive a ‘ballot’ with their sampling glass upon entering the festival. All pouring stations will have a mason jar for each brewery available at that station. Once you find your favorite, simply drop your vote into the mason jar for that brewery. Voting will close by 4:00pm on Sunday. The Taster's Choice Award will be announced on Sunday at 5:00pm, right before the last band takes the stage. The winning brewery will win a trophy and a spotlight at next year’s festival.
